I FIND it most encouraging when our local authorities work in a quick and efficient way.
At 9.30am the other Saturday morning I reported to the police at Clowne that two manhole covers had been stolen from the road between Stanfree and Clowne, leaving dangerous gaping holes.

The officer was very efficient in his response and shortly afterwards cones had been positioned over the hazards.

Well done to the police in dealing quickly with an ever-growing problem.

East Avenue, Stanfree
