I WOULD like to thank Worksop Guardian and the National Trust for the advertisement that appeared in your paper on 31st October concerning the Spooky Halloween events.
After loading my excited children into the car on a cold dark Halloween night, we set off for Clumber Park.

After arriving through the gates the children got even more excited as the surroundings got more eerie.

Quite anxious myself with it being pitch black, and getting quite excited whilst scaring my partner and the children, we thought it was going to be quite a memorable night.

Only to find to my total disappointment and amazement when getting to the gate, we were turned away for not booking!

We could not quite believe this, as in the advert it said nothing about booking of the sort.

A VERY DISAPPOINTED FAMILY

EDITOR’S NOTE: In our extensive Halloween preview, there wasn’t space to mention every detail of every event – we did include phone numbers so readers could ring for more details of events they were interested in.
