In reply to Mr Mann's comment about "another drug support group is to set up in a residential area in Worksop".
Let me gently remind Mr Mann that if that comment refers to Hetty’s,we were founded in Worksop and have been supporting families here since 1996, both as part of the health service and with charitable status.

Our clients are not dependant on drugs
or alcohol but are struggling with the devastating effects of someone they love who are dependant on those substances.

We are not drug workers, but family workers whose passion is to repair and re-build those families, enabling them to focus on small steps that can produce positive change in their lives, restoring their confidence, well-being, self esteem, and coping skills thus reducing isolation, inappropriate stigma and guilt.

The correct explanation of our services. Hetty’s support and empower families and anyone who has a problem with anyone else’s drug or alcohol use.

I resent Mr Mann’s comment that we as a service will "do more harm than good” and challenge him with our service users’ comments

I believe passionately that our clients in Worksop deserve to benefit from our specialist and empathetic service.

I encourage anyone who has a question or a fear to contact me on 01623 643476 or at pam.north@hettys.org.uk
