Published Date: 14 November 2008
I MADE my usual yearly visit to Creswell's Remembrance Service on Sunday at the Memorial Garden.
The powers that be had decided that the weather was not up to standard, i.e. showers, so no service, no Last Post, at 11am – deserted. What a disgrace.

The lads in some foreign field perhaps should have refused to fight and die for King and Country, because of inclement weather.

And, of course, at 11am – the sun came out!
