THIS is an open letter to the management teams of Aston Comprehensive School and Aston-cum-Aughton Leisure Centre.
We now all continually cope with dangerous traffic situations on Aughton Road, Swallownest.

The local community were informed that there would be 67 car parking spaces at the leisure centre. There are not.

Residents were told that after 3pm, visitors to the leisure centre could use Aston Comprehensive School car park. Gates are not always open and there are no signs directing visitors to the school car park.

Parking on the road becomes over crowded, obstructive and competitive and is totally unacceptable.

This is especially dangerous when children are being dropped off and collected from school.

Please, please will the two management teams negotiate how they could work together to alleviate this situation. Children’s safety has to be the first priority.

MRS INGRID GRAY

Aughton Road, Swallownest
