RYTON Park Adders failed to strike as they went down to a second successive defeat, this time to DTH Redlands Humpties.
Their 7-3 loss puts them at the bottom of Division One, while the Humpties head the early table.

Ably led by Sam Walker and Aiden Keyworth, who won three each before teaming up to win the doubles, the result was never in doubt.

The Roosters came off their perch to defeat the Outlaws 8-2 as Chris Cattell and Mark Short hit trebles for the winners and substitute Lea Dickinson came back to add a singles win over Jim Kenny after being 2-0 down. Dickinson then partnered Short to a doubles success to complete the win.

The Fluffy Toys opened their season's account with a 7-3 win over the Adders thanks to hat-tricks from Richard Wesley and Steve Walker. Owen Shutt then joined Wesley at the table to win the doubles after playing up from Division Two.

In Division Two the Allstars long unbeaten run came to an abrupt halt when they went down by a 7-3 margin Ryton Park Bees.

Following last season's run, which saw the Allstars to the runners-up spot, the unknown quality of the opponents took them by surprise with only Peter Eyre putting a dent in the scoreline with three wins.

Richard Robinson, Allan Harris and Joe Else won two each for the winners, while Harris and Else defeated Eyre and Ray Lucas in a thrilling doubles encounter.

Manton Sports have brought last years form book into the new season after recording a convincing 8-2 win over relegated Carlton Rovers.

Alan Keeling and Shahidi bagged wins over Lowde to reply.

The Morris Men took a 7-3 win over Rhodesia Tigers. Oliver Pingree had wins over Thomas Hunt, Walt and Thomas Elgy, while Keith Bloomfield netted a treble before Owen Shutt beat Walter Elgy.

Hunt and Thomas Elgy won one each for the Tigers with the doubles going to Hunt and Elgy.

Two-man Echidnas were too strong for the Cougars in Division Three as they bagged ta narrow 6-4 win.

Lee Bohan won three with George Agnew adding a further two before the two players won the doubles.

With three games awarded to the Cougars, only Ivan Stallworthy could add to that after completing an exciting ( 8-11, 15-13, 11-9, 11-13, 13-11 win over Agnew.

Redlands Academicals held Ryton Park Dragons to a 5-5 draw thanks to a Neil Haughton treble and a Chris Cutts brace. Thomas Moore (2) and Liam Robinson (1) and Chris Rix (1) brought the match to a thrilling finale with Moore and Rix taking the doubles for a draw.
