EIGHT Bassetlaw swimmers will be competing for Nova Centurion at the National Championships in Sheffield later this month.
Ian Wrigley, 14, and Matthew Watkinson, Matthew Dobson, Matthew Renshaw and Connor Allison, all 13, will compete during the first four days at Age Group Championships.

James Searles, 17, Jessica Tomlinson, 16, Ben Dixon, 17, and Alice Cary, 16, will be taking part in the Youth Championships.

The event will take place from 24th July to 2nd August.

One member of the team, Matthew Watkinson, said he is looking forward to the challenge of competing at the ASA National event. He has qualified in nine events but has chosen to compete in just six due to his three relay race commitments.

All four swimmers will be competing against the best in Britain when they take part in the 800m Freestyle, while Matthew Dobson will be the first Bassetlaw member to swim in the 1,500m Freestyle.

James Searles and Jessica Tomlinson have qualified for two and three individual events respectively, and will also compete in three relay events.

Ben Dixon will be competing in the relay events.
