JF COMMERCIALS kept their promising start to the season going with a comfortable victory over Knights.
Commercials took the game to the visitors from the off, and deservedly took the lead when Adrian White struck superbly from 25 yards.
Commercials kept the pressure on, and a Mark Pritchard brace made it 3-0 at half-time.
The second half was much of the same, with White claiming his second, and Craig Amendola finished it off with the fifth.
Commercials' keeper Danny McCusker had a quiet day thanks to sound defending from Brumpton, Hall, Fagan and the excellent Tyact.
White had an excellent game and was one of Commercials' better players.
St Leger Arms 2
Woodhouse Inn 2
ST LEGER Arms and Woodhouse Inn played out a scoring draw in a hard-fought but entertaining contest.
Woodhouse Inn took the lead after 15 minutes when poor defending from the home side let in Kev Martin to blast home from close range.
St Leger then stepped up their game and had many chances, but could not reduce the deficit during the first half.
After the break the home side continued to press, and on 70 minutes Nick Locerbie was fouled in the area. Andy Whitlam converted the penalty.
St Leger continued to try and win the game and their reward was an 85th minute goal for striker Jamie Waistnage.
After the goal, Woodhouse Inn changed their formation and laid siege to the St Leger goal, with only a string of fine saves from Man of the Match Ryan Hewkin preventing Woodhouse Inn from equalising, but in the 90th minute of the game, Ryan Greenwood scored for the visitors.
Breakers 5
Butchers Arms 3
BREAKERS continued their good start to the season with a win over a strong Butchers' side.
They took the lead early on when Carl Jacks was brought down in the box, and Daniel Ball dispatched the resulting penalty.
It was soon 2-0 when James Wood flicked on a near post corner which sneaked in at the back post.
Good work from the Breakers' midfield saw Man of the Match Jacks released on goal, but he unselfishly squared to Matthew Ball for number three.
Wood added a fourth with an excellent solo effort, and Butchers pulled one back before the break.
Andrew Storey increased the lead with a well driven shot, but Butchers showed good character to score two late goals.
