A PUBLIC meeting will be held tonight (Friday) for those interested in getting more resources for boxing and establishing local boxing clubs in Bassetlaw.
Bassetlaw MP John Mann and former Sports Minister Richard Caborn, pictured, will be in attendance.

Mr Mann said: "Many boxing clubs are only surviving because of the dedication and commitment of their organisers, and many are operating in poorly equipped and under-resourced buildings."

"I want to see boxing being established throughout the community. This will help teenagers channel their aggression into competitive sport, and help them develop self-discipline and respect for their opponents."

The public meeting will be held at 7pm at Harworth Village Hall, Harworth.
