TEMPERS flared when Worksop's second string hosted Corby on Saturday.

WORKSOP started with greater possession but Corby had more clear-cut chances.

The hosts scored after 15 minutes through James Walker, and 10 minutes later Sam Walter netted from a close-range scramble.

The game became an ill-disciplined affair as players from both sides wound each other up.

Worksop could have gone three up, but did not pay attention to where a free-hit was to be taken from.

After the break, Corby should have scored twice with numerous free-hits.
Tempers flared late on, James Walker being sent off for violent behaviour and James Keeling disrespect to the umpires.

Another three points for Worksop, but a poor advert for this level of play with discipline and leadership key.

A GOOD account was given by a team, made up of mainly juniors, against a men's side.

New player James Matheson stood out, and the usual youngsters and vets kept the score within the realms of respectability, just 3-0 down at half-time.

Much will be built upon this loss, as the youngsters start to work together.

Fixtures
