THE Worksop Harriers had their best results of the season in the Notts Summer League at their 'home' race at Worksop College.
Their Veteran Ladies team finished equal second, just three points off winning their league, and the Senior Men's team claimed an excellent third place.
The Harriers Veteran Men's team finished in a respectable sixth place, with the Senior Ladies
team 11th in their league.

The Ladies teams were helped by the return of Tracey West (11th, 32:39) who had picked up a long-term injury while training for this year's London Marathon.
The team also benefited from Vikki Oak (34th, 36:37) stepping up from the Sisters On Sundays running group, who ran her first race for the Harriers.
The rest of the ladies finished as follows: Caroline McGinley (38th, 36:58), Nicola Vaughan (42nd, 37:24), Carol Lonsdale (53rd, 38:32), Julie Bonser (55th, 38:49), Charlotte Hewitt (58th, 39:01) Tracy Moore (63rd, 39:56), Donna Blizard (68th, 40:45).
The final race in the league is at Teversal Grange, Sutton-in-Ashfield, on Wednesday 13th August, starting at 7:15pm.
"Last year's race was won by 21-year-old Luke Cragg, who started his running career with the Worksop Harriers, and has since gone on to represent England."
"This year Kyle Craib (8th, 27:03) was the leading Harrier over the 5-mile course – a remarkable performance by a 16-year-old, who clearly has the potential to achieve great things in the sport."
He added: "The Notts AAA rely on the clubs competing in the league to stage the races and it is only with the kind cooperation of the Worksop College that the Harriers are able to do this and we thank them for making their great facilities and venue available"
