SHARP-shooter Louis Gerard has done it again!
Louis, of Howden House, East Drayton, retained his title in the National Field Archery Championships.

The Tuxford School pupil, pictured, won his section of the U12 Boys American Flatbow with a whopping 1,128 points over the two-day competition in Coventry.

It was a gruelling course of 72 targets in woodland and rough terrain.

His proud mum Jan said: "I'm massively proud of his achievement."

Louis has been involved in the sport for two years and is coached by Richard Warriner at Bilsthorpe-based Albion Archers.

Next year Louis will move up to the U16 Boys category in which he hopes to continue his success.

Jan added: "He is moving up an age group next year, so it will be tough, but I think he'll do all right and show he can compete with the big boys."
