A VICAR serving parishes in Woodsetts, Firbeck and Letwell, has admitted 17 charges of making and possessing indecent photos of children.
Father-of two-Adrian Fereday made the images on seven separate occasions between July and September last year. The 50-year-old was also found to be in posession of indecent images of minors and six video clips on 8th November.
Smartly dressed in a dark suit and red tie, he admitted all the charges one by one as they were read out at Sheffield Crown Court on this morning.
Defence counsel Robert Smith tried unscucessfully to amend bail conditions for Fereday, who currently lives in Stoke on Trent.
"There is a condition in place since he was first at the police station not to have unsupervised contact with his two teenage sons, and social services have a say in this matter," said Mr Smith.
"But he appears to have a good relationship with his boys."
He also told the court his client had recieved counselling since the charges came to light, and divorce proceedings with his wife were ongoing.
Judge Goldsack adjourned the case for three weeks while pre-sentence and psychiatric reports are compiled.
"You can have bail as before until the next hearing," said Judge Goldsack. "But that's not to be taken as an indication of the sentence you will recieve."
Fereday will be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday 7th August.
