A CHARITY walk to raise money to help children with heart conditions is happening on Sunday 27th July.
Vicky Thorlby-Coy, of Worksop, has organised the event to raise funds for Heart Link at East Midland's Children's Heart Care Association.
Vicky's son Jack, who is six-years-old, has a heart condition and is the inspiration for the walk. The cause is based at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester where Jack was born.
"Heart Link really help both parents and children," said Vicky, who is 25.
"We're aiming to raise £1,000 to help them buy a 4D ultra-sound scanner and to help them treat more children."
"The cause do lots for children - Jack was able to go to Lapland for the day with them last year."
The walk is six miles long and is starting from the Lock Keeper on Sandy Lane and all participants are asked to be there for 10.45am for an 11am start.
"We've got children and adults taking part so it will just be a steady stroll," added Vicky.
Anyone wanting to take part is asked to call into Cooplands, Celtic Point, Gateford or call 01909 483689 and ask for Sue.
