Police officers have arrested two men on suspicion of vehicle theft after pursuing a stolen van by helicopter and on the ground.
The 23-year-old and 18-year-old men were arrested following the theft of a Ford Transit van from outside a property on Welbeck Street in Creswell shortly after midnight on Friday morning.

They made off in the van towards Worksop and police called out the force helicopter to track them, while officers in cars followed on the ground.

They were eventually caught over the border in Nottinghamshire by Nottinghamshire Police and were arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle.

The two offenders are currently in custody awaiting questioning.
