LIFEGUARDS at Worksop Leisure Centre saved the life of a 17-year-old who they dragged out of the pool and gave the kiss of life.
The boy, who is epileptic, was spotted lying unconscious on the floor of the shallow end at about 7pm on Tuesday.

Quick thinking staff were able to bring him back to life before paramedics arrived. Bassetlaw Council run the leisure centre and chief executive David Hunter praised the work of the lifeguards.

”I just can’t praise them enough for what they did and I hope I will be able to meet with them personally to congratulate them,” he said.

The 17-year-old boy was recovering at Bassetlaw Hospital as the Guardian went to press and was unavailable for comment.
