A MAN has been arrested after shots were fired at a Worksop house.

Officers from Notts Police detained the man after shots were fired at a property on Gateford Road just before 12.30pm on Sunday.

The 25-year-old is currently in police custody.

Detectives said they have spoken with the occupants of the house, and safety measures have been put in place.

A police spokesman said the the incident was isolated.

Afterwards, police and forensic teams taped off the newly-built detached house.

No-one was injured in the shooting at the house situated opposite Co-op Funeral Services.

The house was originally taped off with police standing guard outside, but today the tape had been removed and the police presence was gone.
