BASSETLAW'S answer to Leona Lewis has the chance to take the stage on Saturday at a Thorpe Salvin pub.
The Parish Oven is hosting the first round of the auditions for the Bassetlaw Breastcare Appeal X-Factor which is taking place later this year.

Anyone is welcome to go along and try their luck on the stage and to show off their vocal skills.

All participants are asked to pay £3 to enter and others are welcome to support the auditionees.

All proceeds will go towards the Appeal's £250,000 target to extend breastcare facilities at Bassetlaw Hospital.

"We want to make as much money as possible whilst having lots of fun," said Sally Richardson, fundraiser for the cause.

"Just turn up and have a go or come along and watch other people take their turn!"

For more information, contact Rachel Saunders on 01909 770685 or Sally Richardson on 01909 502767.
