THE NEW Country Legends Solid Gold Show is coming to Rotherham's Civic Theatre on Tuesday 23rd September.
Led by talented vocalists, together with the Outlaw Country Band, Country Legends brings you the perfect mix of old and new country hits from the classics of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Tammy Wynette and Garth Brooks, to name just a few.

Songs featured in this special evening of country music include Billie Jo Spears’ Blanket On The Ground, Johnny Cash’s Ring Of Fire, Dolly Parton’s Jolene and Kenny Rogers’ Lucille, amongst many others.

The vocals are led by Jeanne Jordan and BJ Thomas. Jeanne has been singing professionally since the age of 13, and was introduced to country music by the famous Gibb brothers while living in Los Angeles, where she was present at the recording of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ hit ‘Islands In The Stream’.

BJ Thomas joined his first professional country band at the age of 16 and his roots are in Blues and Country Rock. Together, BJ and Jeanne have toured the world, visiting over 20 countries with their special tribute to the greats of country music.

The host of the show is Bristol-born Randy Ryman. He started his career singing and playing guitar in touring bands, mostly in Eastern Europe and Alpine Ski resorts, and critics say his slick linking ability and smooth vocal tones are sure to be appreciated by his West Country fans.

Add all this together with lots of stunning costume changes and a large slice of fun, and an amazingly authentic Country Barn stage set, and you are guaranteed to have a great night of solid gold country music.

To buy tickets, priced £14, email theatre.tickets@rotherham.gov.uk or call 01709 823 621 or 01709 823640.
